Our program follows the California Foundations and Frameworks for guidance on what is developmentally appropriate for children birth to five years of age. We also comply with The CA Teaching Pyramid approach which provides a systematic framework that promotes social and emotional development, provides support for children's appropriate behavior, prevents challenging behavior, and addresses problematic behavior. We have 3 broad expectations we refer to often in our program:
We are Respectful
We are Friendly
We are Safe
The Environment is the Third Teacher
Our environment is set up in such a way that creates wonder and evokes curiosity. Low shelving, child sized tables and chairs, labeled storage, and defined learning opportunities/spaces helps promotes independence and encourage our children to explore, play, and discover!
Our Program offer:
Music
Movement

Meet Mrs. Mari
About me
I'm from Brazil, and I have been living here since 2020. I'm married and have my own 3 kids: Gustavo, Bernardo and Clarice.
Work Experience
I've been teaching since I was 18 years old. Being a teacher runs in my family. Back in Brazil, I used to be a Portuguese teacher for middle schoolers and a vice principal in a preschool center. From 2020, I have been working in Early Childhood Education as a helper in a family Daycare and as a Circle Time Teacher. Before opening my own facility, I also worked as a nanny.
Education
I graduated in Modern Language from Universidade de Goias in 2010. Also, I have a graduate degree in Psychopedagogy. I am continuously taking trainings in Early Childhood Education mostly at Marin Child Care Council, a non-profit agency located in San Rafael, Marin County. I am passionate about my work as a teacher and I am dedicated to doing my best for the children and families I care for by providing a responsive, respectful, and relationship-based care that is individualized for each child.
